Why is B Corp such a big deal?

A ‘B Corp Company’ is certified for its positive impact on the people and the environment. It pursues objectives beyond profit and is part of a wider movement of change, and becoming one is no easy task!

Our approach to hairdressing, investing in our people, and carving out a different path to the mainstream industry has always been different.  But what does that actually translate to day-to-day? Our sustainability pages highlight our better choices – collaborating with local suppliers, investing in good energy, and partnering with industry leaders to source sustainable colours and products. We have invested in ‘Vish technology’ to reduce our colour waste (a huge issue for the industry and the environment) and ensure transparency/gender equality and fairness in our pricing.

But we’re also big on self-care, applying these principles to our people. Walk past the salon on a Wednesday after closing, and you’ll see us on our Yoga mats, taking some time to relax and reflect in the candlelight, and the team regularly contribute and engage in innovative volunteering initiatives, encouraging personal growth and investment in their wider skills.
